Lean for Life Phase One: Weight Loss

This is going to be my struggles, triumphs, etc with weight loss. I currently weigh 181.5 lbs and am 5'6", swf. I have always struggled with my weight, the heaviest being 212 in 2010 and the lowest being 130 in 1998 when I was 19 years old. I have tried every diet out there-HCG drops, Atkins, SlimFast, Weight Watchers, starvation, too many others to name.

I'm currently doing Lean for Life through RiteAid. I started on June 1, 2012. I actually started in May and lost a few lbs, but cheated quite a bit, so I restared June 1st. When I started the diet in May, I was 187.5 lbs. The diet is 60 days of low-cal, low-carb, then 10 days of adding in more foods. That's a mere 70 days!

This diet is simple and it works (without adding exercise!) and that's why I love it. You are limited on what you can eat though. In a nutshell: Breakfast-1 protein, 1 grain or fruit. Lunch-1 protein, 1 fruit, 1 vegt, 1 cup lettuce. Dinner-same as lunch. Snacks-3 proteins a day.

It's very hard to eat 6 proteins per day, let me tell you! I'm a carb lover and that's always been my weight downfall. You also do get hungry, as it is lower calorie (800-1100/day. I use MyFitnessPal to track my calories, nutrients and vitamins. I love it cause the phone app is so easy to use!

I'll be posting my successes and failures on here as often as I can remember. Feel free to comment or email me with any thing!
